This device driver restriction has led to the development of a third party driver patch, "DeusEx ATI HD Registry Tweak", to unlock the potential of HD 2400 Pro for full support of H.264/VC-1 hardware video decoding. This high-powered processor for its time was released back in 2012. As a result such restriction, the card is deemed as not very useful for hardware video decoding since the majority of the H.264/VC-1 videos on the web are not encoded in those formats (even though the hardware itself is fully capable of doing such decoding work). The AMD Radeon HD 7400m is a GPU that is installed in many notebooks and laptops. The device driver, even with the latest stable version, seem to only honor hardware decoding for formats specified in the Blu-Ray and HD-DVD specification. Several reports from owners of HD 2400 Pro suggest the card do not fully support hardware decoding for all H.264/VC-1 videos. Those products were officially supported with the release of Catalyst 7.10 driver, which the cards were named as Radeon HD 2350 series. Reports has that the first batch of the RV610 core (silicon revision A12), only being released to system builders, has a bug that hindered the UVD from working properly, but other parts of the die operated normally.

Did I install the wrong one, and if so, I have no idea where to find the update the Playfirst support is talking about. Although I still get the error message above. After restart the driver reinstalled itself fine, with a successful message, and read itself as 3450 driver. After I had done that, I remembered I needed to restart, which I proceeded to do. - Graphics Adapter WDDM1.1, Graphics Adapter WDDM1.3, Graphics Adapter WDDM2.0 - ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Series. I think I was worrying about it too much, so I didn't restart right after, instead I tried to install the 3450 driver again. I was rather upset, so I took the chance and uninstalled my display driver.

Ive a serious problem with the drivers of a ATI Mobility Radeon 3400 on my SONY VAIO with Windows 8. AMD/ATI driver for Mobility Radeon HD 3400 Series Windows XP 32bit. After restart it kept coming with an error. 1 work prefect but features only with Windows 7 64bit. The CCC took over the installation after I downloaded using the Dell driver download thing, and told me the installation wasn't successful. So I went to the Dell website and downloaded the 3450 update, although I didn't know if that applied to the 3400 or not. x_x I ended up installing the CCC (Control Catalyst Center) with it, and after restarting it didn't work. I ended up 'trying' one called radeon 3400, I think, but I wasn't sure. Drivers para ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3400. With this said, I did try the ATI website first, (bad me, bad) and had the hardest time finding my card. It appears as though your video card may need a more current driver. After reading up on the forums, I sent a DxDiag to Playfirst to which they replied, I would get a mesage reading, 'application not working' and it would tell me my trial had expired before I had even played it. So I was having problems playing select Playfirst games.
